Basically, using trusted sources such as Google Scholar, ProQuest, —to mention a few—will assure that references are from competent professionals.
In order to construct an academically coherent paper, a framework is essential. The outline can be your “blueprint” or skeletal structure—much like the framework in construction of a house. The Background information section contains essential “tools” for your outline development.
Furthermore, taking just any available material from the Internet to “flesh out” your paper will result in an amateur product unable to withstand academic scrutiny. A proper paper requires professional sources such as peer-reviewed journals and reports.
Develop a brief outline for your Capstone Project. (Refer to the Background reading material for helpful websites).
• Assignments should be at least three pages double-spaced, not counting the cover page. Submit your assignment by the last day of this module.
• Your outline should be in standard outline format with short phrases, avoiding full sentences and paragraphs. Your outline should clearly indicate all major aspects of the project and be organized in a logical manner.

Identify at least 15 references pertinent to your topic using Google Scholar, ProQuest, and others listed in Background Information. For five (5) of the references, provide an annotation for the reference (i.e., a brief summary analysis of the reference no longer then six to eight sentences for each reference annotated).
Remember that it is always a good idea to use primary sources rather than secondary sources. Therefore, it is best to avoid sources such as from syndicated news sources (e.g., CNN, ABC, FOX, and the like). Also, lay sites such as Wikipedia are handy for general information but not for an academic paper.
