   Putting research evidence into practice in Evidence-Based Practice is no simple task. To ensure effective implementation of EBP, it is necessary to [blur]formulate a model or theories. Such models support an organized manner through which EBP evidence and results can be incorporated into the functional clinical application. Models and theories prevent the chances of having incomplete implementations. They are also important in ensuring improvement in the use of available resources in a given clinical setup. When an appropriate model or theory is adopted to address a certain clinical problem or Evidence-Based Practice, it facilitates evaluation of outcomes in a manner that suits the clinical problem it pertains. For the purpose of this[/blur] project, the Organization Change Theory best fits my proposed solution of timely and effective diagnosis of minor head injuries as well as traumatic head injuries.

Theory section rationale

   The clinical question my project is focusing on aims at improving service delivery in the health care industry. The fact that effective, efficient and timely [blur] diagnosis of minor and traumatic head injuries comes as a change from the contemporary imaging techniques, I needed a theory that Addresses this changes from a quality improvement point of view. Organization change theory is structured in a manner that it allows the intervention strategy to facilitate a certain process that might increase chances of adoption of health policies and programs as well as their maintenance in the formal healthcare organizations. The theory follows fundamental concepts that perfectly compares with the expectation and objectives of the Evidence-Based Project I am [/blur]undertaking. It has guidelines for the problem description as stipulated in the awareness stage, initiation of the action/solution intervention (commonly referred to as adoption stage), change or solution strategy implementation, and change institutionalization.

   Incorporating the organization change theory for my EBP implementation facilitates in recognition of important contexts that play a crucial role in successful implementation [blur] of the solution. Another aspect of the theory, when used in the EBP implementation, is its guidance nature. It gives a detailed guidance for change implementation that includes operational definitions, evidence-based dissemination as well as change strategies. A good model allows the participating clinicians and nurses to assess and ascertain organization culture with a particular interest in readiness for implementation in a system-wide manner. Incorporation of Organization Change Theory into the Project

   Through the application of the Organization Change Theory, I will be able to classify all the problem’s corrective intervention changes.
